Admission Requirements
Woodland Playhouse runs on a September-June schedule. Intent to enroll forms are distributed in January of the enrollment year, and contracts and various required paperwork are distributed via email in early Spring. Our enrollment for September typically begins in January or February of the same year. Woodland Playhouse offers space for private pay families and families funded through Ulster County Day Care Unit. Woodland Playhouse also facilitates the Onteora Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program for children who are age four prior to December 1st of that year and who live in the Onteora School District.

We encourage prospective families to set up a visit to Woodland Playhouse. Families may set up a visit in a couple of ways: visits can occur during the school day with their child and get a sense of our school in that way, after hours with director Christina (with our without children in attendance) so that families can get a full tour and have any questions answered, or families may visit during a scheduled open house (typically in the spring of the prior school year or beyond).

We also schedule a home visit for each child prior to their first day. This helps create a connection with the teacher and bridges the gap between home and school.
