Welcome To Woodland Playhouse!
"Imagination is more important than knowledge." - Albert Einstein
At Woodland Playhouse, we believe in play. Our teachers work together to create a warm, welcoming, comfortable environment that allows children the space and opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive. In this space, children find themselves on the path to becoming independent, compassionate, self-confident individuals. Experiential exploration and both free and guided play plant the seeds for healthy learning. We devote our days to allowing children to experience the magic of their own imaginations and lay the foundation for later academic success.
Woodland Playhouse was established in 2007. We are a small center preschool licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and a certificated Universal Pre-Kindergarten provider through the Onteora Central School District. In addition, our summer camps are licensed through Ulster County.
What's happening at Woodland Playhouse?
The 2021-22 school year is well underway and we are having a blast! We have been very busy exploring the world, making friends, and flexing our creativity muscles. Our classroom (both full day and half day options) is full, but if you're interested in putting your child on the waitlist in case something opens up as the year progresses please do not hesitate to reach out directly to Christina.
Our summer camp is live as of mid January, and camps have filled up in record time. Please check out our summer camp page and if you have questions or would like to sign up, please reach out to Christina.
Currently enrolled families and families with younger children that could enroll for the 2022-23 school year received applications for enrollment in January 2022. Families on the waitlist will receive their applications for enrollment in February 2022. If you'd like your child to be added to that list, please reach out.
We are moving forward at a slightly sluggish pace on our new property, but we're excited to offer a few camps at the location this year and are hopeful that our January opening date of a classroom will come to fruition! Stay tuned for more information.
